Back to DIGITAL projects
When creating my portfolio website I wanted to focus on the visuals of my work, without adding too much copy that would make the pages heavier. My work should speak for itself, but I still wanted to give you a sneak peek into my process and how I think when choosing specific colours, typefaces and designs.
I wanted to show the variety of my skills by dividing my work into categories. I wanted to show that I not only have web design skills, but also love a good DIY or once in a while create something to sell online.
All these ideas bundled in my head sometimes need to come out, and what better way than to make them digital.
I am a cheerful person and the color yellow just makes me so happy and that is exactly what I wanted my brand to be, something I could be proud of and would make other people happy. However, I am also a bit weird (Nobody wants to be boring right?) and I might not always want to follow the grain, so by placing my images on different heights and leaving large whitespaces between assets I feel like I create a controlled kind of chaos, that resembles who I am.
Eva B. is how my friends call me and that immediately resonated well with the brand I wanted to create for myself. As I wanted to use the colour yellow, the connection between Eva B and a bee was quickly made. And bees are busy (as in a ‘busy bee’) and hardworking, which I am (except on lazy Sundays).
